Variety is the spice of LIFE!

It warmed my heart today when I read that an Indian girl won the Miss America pageant.  Her whole outlook on life was about being "confident in who you are"....thank you Nina Duvulari for sending that message.  It's a shame that there are people out there that are forming a 'boycott' of sorts on the Miss America pageant because they are upset that an Indian woman won.  Really? Are you that stupid, people?
Indian, African, Asian, Caucasian, European, Latino,....we ARE America! We are the blood that makes up this wonderful country. We are the people who have fought for rights, laws, freedoms, etc. So why should only one race of people benefit from all the glory?  When are we going to look past skin color and see beauty in all its forms? When are we going to evolve as a people?  I am proud of the Miss America pageant for becoming what I hoped it would be. This pageant showed women with no arm, ethnic, tatoos....this IS America!   So congratulations Miss Duvulari!  I hope that you enjoy your reign as Miss America. I hope you continue your studies to become a doctor...and I hope and pray that people in America learn to appreciate the beauty out there, in all its forms, in all its American Glory!!!!!
